How The Treatment Works

The SDA Process

Digital Imaging & Surgical Planning

(30-60 minutes)

We begin with detailed 3D CBCT imaging to assess sinus position, bone height, and surrounding structures. This allows us to plan the precise elevation of the sinus membrane and determine the exact amount of bone grafting required. Every case is digitally mapped for safety, accuracy, and predictable implant readiness.

Gentle Sinus Access & Membrane Elevation

(60-90 minutes)

Under local anesthesia, a small access point is created in the upper jawbone. The sinus membrane is carefully lifted using minimally invasive techniques to avoid trauma and ensure stability. This step creates a controlled space for bone regeneration.

Bone Graft Placement

(30-45 minutes)

Bone grafting material is placed into the newly created space beneath the sinus membrane. Depending on your clinical needs, we may use biocompatible synthetic grafts, processed donor bone, or other regenerative materials designed to encourage natural bone formation and integration. We use Cone Beam CT 3D imaging and piezo surgical technology to safely plan and perform sinus augmentation with high precision.

Healing & Bone Regeneration

(4-9 months+)

Over time, the graft integrates with your natural bone, gradually increasing bone height and density. This creates a stable foundation that allows for secure dental implant placement in the upper jaw. Regular follow-ups ensure optimal healing and preparation for the next stage of treatment.

Many of our surgical treatments can be performed under moderate conscious sedation to maximize comfort and reduce treatment anxiety. Sedation is administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist, allowing patients to feel relaxed throughout more complex procedures.
